Enjoy watching this look back at the Men’s Football Semi-Finals of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Superstars like Ronaldinho and Juan Roman Riquelme but also the young Lionel Messi took centrestage in this Olympic encounter. Brazil’s dream of an Olympic Gold ended in spectacular style after they were thumped 3-0 by archenemies Argentina in the Worker’s stadium in Beijing. A feist first-half ended goalless with both teams failing to break the deadlock but second-half goals from Aguero (two) and a penalty from Riquelme gave Argentina the victory they deserved and a place in the final vs Nigeria. Argentina went on to win Olympic Gold as they defended their Athens 2004 top spot with another impressive olympic outing.
