  1. Portugal are gonna need another miracle Ronaldo performance if they wanna beat Uruguay in the Round of 16

these bums got dominated by Spain, Morocco and Iran and due to Ronaldo carry job got through to the Round of 16

Portugal have 5 total goals and 1 assist in the world cup, 4 of those goals by Ronaldo and 1 by a Quaresma long shot lol

  2. what a pundits they are ..they are sure that Arg is going home.. Did you even predict that German wont qualify for round 16 ? no you did not.. you were praising for Germany before world cup begins

  3. it[s a little bit shame, who comes form the land of inspiration and motivation to reach anything talking about argentine is of. Most right now what argentine recover and pass throw over all negative opinons and pronotics against and reach the game to clasification.

  4. Haven't seen France step up yet. Structured, yes. But disjointed and laboured. Lots of talent but led by an unimaginative coach. The similarities between France and Germany cannot be ignored. Argentina, however, stood up and were counted in the final group game against Nigeria. Sure, they were poor in the second half, but they showed character and a will to win, qualities that were lacking in France and Germany.

Argentina's achilles isn't the defence – it's the midfield. Can they compete with Kante-Matuidi-Pogba? Can Banega pull the strings like in the first half against Nigeria? He'll need reliable support and I think Perez and Biglia will provide that platform. They mustn't get overrun. So what happens with Mascherano? Back to CB with Rojo playing left-back to provide more defensive coverage against Mbappe.

I could be completely wrong, but I won't be at all surprised if Argentina play 4-3-3 with Messi as a False 9. If so, then Argentina's little magician will be the difference. I don't think he'll score but he'll suck defenders to make space for Pavon and Meza/Aguero to run into. They have the personnel to embarrass and exploit France's key weakness: the fullbacks.

Prediction: Messi to lead the line in an Argentinian 2-1 win in an ugly, but intriguing, game.
