  1. Everyones arguments for lewa.;: Goals, Gerd müller record, Bundesliga , top scorer Bundesliga
Literally messi: also got the goal, most assists, topscorer in laliga and copa , crucial to both argentina and Barcelona

  2. I don’t care what the stats says, Ballon d’Or or not, Messi will always be the choice of any awards for as long as he’s fit to play until he then decides to retired. What he has given the world, of a beautiful footballing skills, what kind of characters he is on the pitch and at elsewhere. He is a true example of one of the greatest players of his generation and our generations. Who are you going to talk about who are the greatest football players in 10 years from now on? I can guarantee it’s Messi and to not ever forget Ronaldo who is at the same level as him, would be on the top of the lists.

  3. Lewandowski, Benzema or Jorginho (If Modric can win it so he too has a equal chance).
Just coz Messi won Copa America doesn't mean he was better than any other player.

  4. I mean Lewandowski had more goal contributions, broke a 50 year old goal-scoring record thought to be unbreakable (in only 29 games) and scored 3 times for Poland in the euros. Yes Messi won copa america and was the best player in that tournament, but everyone seems to weigh those 7 games above multiple other competitions. If they had lost that final it seems like everyone would say Lewandowski, but because his team won that game (he wasnt much of a factor in it) it swings the narrative.

Lewandowski had a better year by any statistical metric.

  5. Whether its Messi or Salah or Lewandowski or Jorginho or Cr7 one constant thing years gone by is the serious lack of English players considered a contender , But But But " greatest league in the world " ?‍♂️??

  6. There would be no arguement anymore over who is the goat if Messi would win another ballon d'or. I wonder if ronaldo finally could be humble enough to admitt who is the best. It would make me appreciate him more as a player

  7. Messi has not scored In the France league and has had bad performances for his last couple of games for Barcelona, he is still one of the greats but fanboys need to be real Messi not this year

  8. Last year ballon dor was cancelled and Lewandowski was a clear winner. So this year ballon dor should include last two years of players performance and Lewandowski is even clearer winner. He broke 51 year old bundesliga top scorer record. Messi doesn’t deserve it unfortunately. His performance isn’t top peak

  9. They put Messi just to criticize him??.. ESPN is biased..
And benzema got some whooping by Messi in the pichichi race and then end up winning nothing for the whole year… He doesn't deserve to be in the same conversation as Messi… Lewandowski does
